I had never used burlap before but now I have made burlap window coverings and a burlap "FALL" sign. I am not a burlap expert but I did learn how to cut burlap "the right way". This technique makes cutting a straight line easy. I know some projects you may want a jagged edge but if you are looking for a cleaner look this technique is awesome. (don't judge my un manicured hand ;)
Step 1: Pull the line of burlap where you want to cut. Snip it with your scissors.
Step 2: Pull the line of burlap all the way through kind of bunching it as you go. Pull it all the way out.
Step 3: Cut down the line and you're done! So simple.
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to see any burlap projects you may have done?!
I've been meaning to post a tutorial on this forever! Isn't it the best kept secret?!
