Coastal Weekend!

Tomorrow we are going to Cambria and Capiotla for the Holiday weekend. Celebrating my mom's birthday and having a family portrait done at the beach since my brother is leaving in 11 days (tear).

Counting minutes until the Weekend!

Hello almost weekend...1 hour and 56 minutes until I'm off for the weekend. I count minutes even though I love my job can't imagine if it sucked, boo.

This weekend will consist of nursing a cold, double boo. Doggie sitting Martini Anne for the bestie. Getting a pedicure with the hubs tomorrow, I havent had one since September. Watching the 49ers in my new 49ers sweatshirt (picture coming soon). Possibly cleaning out my closets (I wouldn't hold your breathe for that one). Celebrating a birthday of a family member Sunday, sans Hubs since he has to work, boo again. Studying for my Life and Health exam. Working on some new mugs for my etsy shop, they will be listed on Sunday, I'm really excited about them.

Also my brother will be leaving for boot camp (U.S. Navy) at the end of this month it makes my heart heavy, I know that it will be a great expierence and I am more than proud  but I will miss him to pieces, I'm conflicted and basically an emotional wreck.

Welcome 2013

I've been on a bit of a hiatus. Unfortunately I had some health stuff going on, I'm starting to feel like myself again and will hopefully start posting regularly. Need to catch up on putting away laundry, dusting and finish taking down Christmas decorations.  I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years, Cheers to the endless possibilities that 2013 may bring.

I don't do resolutions mainly because I don't keep them. Here are some goals...

1. Be the most loving, caring and awesomest wife I can be.
2. Be kinder, more forgiving and less negative.
3. Spend less.
4. Eat healthier.
5. Do more laundry.

Short list: Read more books, watch less tv, don't leave dishes in the sink, stopping stressing over small things.

Hello Weekend!

It's suppose to rain all weekend, so I'm thinking a Twilight Saga marathon is in order and then go see Breaking Dawn 2, again. I saw it last night and it was amazing. Going to make some soup and that's that. I'm so excited for Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving and Tamale night (All next week). The weekend always starts with so much promise, I think the key is not to have a hangover Saturday ;)

Happy Weekend.

Happy 3 day weekend! No big plans here. Our calendar is already filling up for the holiday season, eek! I should finish some projects this weekend. I also need to find a new book to read, any suggestions? I had my first book club meeting yesterday it was awesome, I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it. Have you ever been in a book club?

 

I am super stoked that pinterest is now offering 3 private boards. I realize that it wouldn't be good if all boards were private that would take away the entire purpose of the repin feature but now you can plan a surprise birthday party for your husband or best friend and they wouldn't know it (not that Joe is on pinterest).

 

I hope you all have a happy weekend! It seems like a soup kind of weekend, doesn't it?

Yay! It's the weekend, tonight I'm working on my fear of my sewing machine and will be making burp cloths with Kristen. She is so sweet she got me goggles since one of my fears is that the sewing machine needle will hit a pin and it will break off and well you know stab me in the eye lol.  Baby shower tomorrow for a friend and then a pimp and ho party. I really had to dig for a ho outfit, if I was in my 20's this would be easy I probably had a closet full of ho attire j/k, pictures to follow. No big plans for Sunday except trying out a new pulled pork recipe and staining my new monogram (see below).

Happy Tuesday, week starter.

Last week was completely crazy, I didn't post on Friday but here's some pictures from the weekend. We went to a Halloween party on Friday night, poor hubby was sick and only lasted about an hour. Saturday he was still sick, stayed in bed almost all day but was feeling a little better to watch the world series. Sunday we took a nice drive just the two of us, the we watched the SF Giants sweep the Tigers.

Happy Weekend!

It's always a happy time once the weekend come rolling through, last week feels like fall weekend was a lie we have had 90 degree weather, ready for some rain. We have no plans other than to work on our home. I want to find some candle sticks to spray paint black to go on my dining room table and possibly make a runner. I'll be working on my Halloween costume and catching up on a obscene amount of laundry, mimosas will be on hand.

Feels like fall weekend

Feels like fall to me, enjoying a lovely steamed latte and spending 4 hours at work before the weekend. Tonight we are going to a friend's 31st birthday party, aps and pulled pork will be served, I love appetizers, seriously. I'll be making my bleu cheese coleslaw to accompany the pulled pork.

 

Tomorrow we have my cousins wedding, can't wait to hang out with my mom and brother, hopefully we can get a family picture of the 4 of us. Sunday we have a landscaper coming to check out our back yard, it is one part of our house that needs A LOT of  help. I also want to squeeze in a movie (pitch perfect) with bestie.

Happy Fall Weekend

After a terrible heat wave, the weather is finally starting to act fall-ish. We had a fantastic busy week last Friday Ally & Nate's wedding, Saturday/Sunday quick trip to Fresno (SDSU lost), Monday night pizzas with boys, Taco Tuesday on the Delta (100 degrees at 7pm, no thank you), Wednesday dinner with Dos, Yesterday dinner at our house for my mother in laws birthday. Tomorrow we are going to the SF Giants game WOO HOO! I don't know what will happen if the yankess and the giants are in the series, it will be a torn house. Check out my etsy shop I will be adding new items soon!

Cheers to the freakin' weekend

Cheers to the weekend and celebrating four years of marriage! Every year we try to do something special, sometimes that is hard when your anniversary lands on a weekday. Yesterday was our 4th wedding Anniversary!!!

 

Anniversary summaries:

 

#1. "Rock the Dress" photos. I loved this I got to wear cowboy boots and pearls have my hair down (how I originally wanted to wear my hair but it was to hot) and my dress. Joe wore tan slacks (what he wanted to wear but we were talked out of it), fun awesome photos and then a nice dinner.

 

#2. Bottle of bubbles and watched the sunset over Mount Diablo from the Delta.

 

#3. Vacationed in Cabo for 5 days it was amazing! Highlight of the trip besides being together for 5 whole days...got to see a sea turtle laying her eggs.

 

 

 

#4. Last night we had a romantic dinner planned but the place we were going had an event going on and it was way to packed to be romantic. We were invited to dinner with our friends who are holding their wedding reception tonight. It was a great time,margaritas and tacos can't really beat that!

 

Hmm I wonder what #5 will have in in store??? What are you doing this weekend?

 

We are going to a wedding reception tonight, brunch for the happy couple tomorrow morning and then Joe, his bff and I are going on a mini road trip to Fresno, to meet up with my brother in law to watch SDSU hopefully beet Fresno State at their homecoming. Fun packed weekend never a dull moment around the casa!
